A Flavour of Norway

Wed 22 Feb 2012

For three nights during the run of Henrik Ibsen’s The Lady from the Sea, Rose Theatre Kingston will offer A Flavour of Norway.

A group of enthusiastic Norwegian students from Kingston University have been given the opportunity to transform some of the public areas of the Rose to evoke their memories of living in Norway.

Free admission, visitors can enjoy an exhibition of photos, objects and fairytales that will fill the upper floors with their interpretation of contemporary Norway. Downstairs in the Café bar, Norwegian music will be playing.  Native beers and soft drinks will be available and you can sample a free traditional waffle.

A Flavour of Norway will take place on three evenings during the run of Ibsen’s The Lady from the Sea. Born in Norway 1828, Henrik Ibsen was a major 19th-century Norwegian playwright, theatre director, and poet. His major works include Peer Gynt, A Doll's House and Hedda Gabler.
