The Play/Act Company at the Rose Theatre, Kingston.

The Play/Act Company is for young people between the ages of 11 and 18 who live or study in the borough of Kingston upon Thames.

Members of the company will meet once a week to build their drama skills, but Play/Act is also about having fun and expressing yourself. You will learn how to use your voice and body on stage and how to work with others to create exciting theatre that your friends and family can enjoy. Being part of the Company will take a big commitment but if you're ready for the challenge, the rewards will be great. You'll get the chance to see your ideas come alive onstage and gain greater confidence in your creative abilities.

            The Play/Act Company is made up of 2 separate groups:

The first group is for young people in Years 7, 8 and 9 and will meet on Saturday mornings from 10.30-1.30

The second group is for young people in Years 10, 11, 12 and 13 and will meet on Saturday afternoons from 2.30-5.30

Both groups will run for a 12 week season from September to December, 2010. At the end of the year, members of the Play/Act Company will be able to renew their membership for another 12 week season running from January to April, 2011.

If you would like to apply, please fill in the application form provided below and submit it by email or return it to the stage door at the theatre. You don't need to have had any previous experience in drama to apply for the Play/Act Company.
