The group is part of Rose Plus, a diverse and prolific community programme run by Rose Theatre Kingston.
Brecht’s great masterwork received its world premiere in 1948 with a youth theatre in Minnesota. Now Rose Youth Theatre performs this vibrantly theatrical play on the epic round stage of the Rose. Within a crude chalk circle, the servant girl who brought up a civil-war orphan must confront the boy’s biological mother. This is a timeless fable with love and the wisdom of Solomon at its heart. Performed by students of Rose Youth Theatre.
