ROSE YOUTH THEATRE
Drama boosts your self-confidence, creativity and courage. It harnesses your communication skills and team-working abilities. It is a unique way to learn about yourself and society.
Our youth theatre is rapidly gaining a strong reputation. A hundred students meet every week in classes of no more than sixteen to learn about acting and theatre.
We offer something very different from musical theatre orientated schools. The programme focuses on acting process and technique. Juniors explore 'story' through games and improvisation. Seniors look at practitioners such as Stanislavski and Brecht through improvisation, text work, vocal skills and acting for screen. The classes are practical and fun, and offer the chance to develop self-confidence and life-skills, as well as making lasting friendships. Find out more.
ROSE PLUS PLAYERS
Rose Plus Players is our resident acting group open for anyone aged over 18 and there’s no upper limit, we’re very keen to encourage a diverse group.
Acting experience is not essential, but you will need enthusiasm and a willingness to commit to a demanding and challenging set of classes. We explore major practitioners, methods of working on different styles of text, improvisation and vocal techniques that are applicable to many different areas of life. Find out more.
