Rose Youth Theatre

Drama boosts self-confidence, creativity and courage. It harnesses communication skills and team-working abilities. It is a unique way to learn about yourself and society.

Since 2008, Rose Youth Theatre has earned itself a strong reputation. Our students meet every week in small classes to learn about acting and theatre. We have staged seventeen plays, including Hamlet, The Beggar’s OperaScenes from Childhood and an adaptation of Oliver Twist.

Rose Youth Theatre offers something very different from musical theatre orientated schools. The programme focuses on acting process and technique. Juniors explore narrative through games, improvisation and text. Seniors explore key practitioners such as Stanislavski and put their learning into practice in high-quality productions throughout the year. Students are entitled to a free ticket to every Rose Theatre Production and Time to Talk. Seniors also have the opportunity to audition for our annual Rose Plus production. Classes are practical and fun, offering the chance to develop life-skills and make lasting friendships.

Rose Youth Theatre requires full attendance.
