Following a sell-out concert last January, Britain’s orchestra of young professionals brings its signature talent and energy back to the Rose.
Their programme of much-loved classics includes the theatrical magic of Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream introduced by star of stage and screen Patricia Hodge, and Mendelssohn’s evergreen Violin Concerto with soloist Harvey de Souza, the brilliant leader of the Academy of St Martin in the Fields.
Then, renowned television and radio personality John Suchet reveals his lifelong love of Beethoven. Coinciding with the publication of his new book ‘Beethoven – The Man Revealed’, he introduces his hero’s Symphony No.3 ‘Eroica’.
Be inspired by the next generation of musical stars, described by The Times as ‘a dashing ensemble who play with exhilarating fizz, exactness and stamina’.
