What is so refreshing about Scamp Theatre’s innovative approach to adapting children’s books for the stage is way the company compels little ones to use their imaginations.
The Stage
In the cast are Joseph Carey, Peta Dennis and Mathew Hamper.
The director is Sally Cookson with design by Katie Sykes, lighting by Elanor Higgins and music by Benji Bower.
Sally Cookson, Katie Sykes and Benji Bower were the creative team for the acclaimed ‘Treasure Island’ at the Bristol Old Vic in July 2011. Peta Dennis has recently been in the sell out seasons of 'Stick Man' at the Edinburgh Festival, Paris, Leicester Square Theatre, Hong Kong and Singapore, Joseph Carey has performed with the Trestle Theatre Company at the National Theatre, the David Glass Ensemble and with the Slava Theatre Sweden as performer and saxophonist. Matthew Hamper has just finished a UK tour of Michael Morpurgo’s ‘Friend or Foe’ for Scamp Theatre.
