Violinist David Juritz hit the headlines in 2007 when he busked around the world playing the solo music of Bach to raise money for the charity Musequality. In two special one-hour concerts on Thursday evenings, he plays Bach’s unaccompanied sonatas and partitas by candlelight in the atmospheric setting of All Saints’ Church. The concerts finish with Bach’s two violin concertos, accompanied by the Tiffin Chamber Orchestra.
As part of Thames Concerts’ outreach programme, there is the opportunity for string players of all ages and abilities to perform Bach’s Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring with David Juritz. Further details, including how to enrol, can be found at www.thamesconcerts.blogspot.com.
