Volunteer Marketing Placement

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in developing their marketing skills to join our team for a period of three months. You will work in all aspects of marketing, with some design work, providing administrative and organisational support to the team. This placement is perfect for those wishing to start a career in arts marketing/administration. Due to the busy nature of our office you will be expected to bring your own initiative to work independently as well as helping out our team on larger projects. Applicants must be dedicated, hard-working and ideally have a passion for theatre and the arts. Experience of design packages would be an advantage.

Youth Theatre Director

Rose Theatre Kingston is looking for a drama director for Rose Youth Theatre Under 11s. The course focuses on literacy and drama skills through text and games with an informal showing to parents at the end of each term. Teachers must have experience working with Key Stage 1 and 2, a training in drama and experience in theatre directing and an understanding of vocal training. They will be part of a small team, working with assistants, liaising with administration and parents, and ensuring that our younger students work in-line with the broad curriculum at the Rose.

The position is per term with contact hours paid at £20ph and meetings also remunerated.

Assistant Box Office Manager

3-4 days per week

Rose Theatre Kingston is looking for a bright, enthusiastic individual to join this vibrant and exciting producing theatre to become an Assistant Manager of their Box Office Team.

This is a proactive sales role providing excellent customer service and an efficient booking service and the candidate must have the following:      

  • Strong leadership and staff management skills with ability to lead and motivate.
  • Previous experience of ticket sales operation in the arts.
  • Knowledge of Box office procedures and systems, ideally with our current provider Spektrix.
  • Be numerate and competent in financial administration.
  • Excellent communicator and good public facing manner.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritise.

The successful candidate must be flexible within their contracted hours and available to work weekends and be aware that there will be occasional early mornings, late evenings as well as some bank holiday shifts.
