STORY STORKS: INTERACTIVE STORYTELLING FOR EARLY YEARS

Story Storks are a local social enterprise on a mission to help and inspire early years children to become readers for pleasure. They do this through the magic of interactive storytelling. Their specially written stories enhance children’s early years language skills whilst being so much fun that kids can’t help falling head over heels in love with stories. The two together are proven to be vital skills that kids need to be able to learn to read when they move on to school.

Our workshops take place on Tuesday mornings. Please contact Sarah on sarah@storystorks.co.uk or 07758 449196 to book your free trial.

Variety Café 22 February – Phil Brookes

Kingston University Variety Café returns in 2017 with the talented vocalist and composer Phil Brookes. Phil moved to London to further his musical career whilst studying Creative Music Technology at Kingston University. It was here that he created and performed with his popular band The Philharmonics which included some of South West London’s finest musicians. His debut acoustic, single, Lord Knows I Tried co-written with fellow Kington Student Tai Li Ling was released in June 2015. His EP This is the beginning was released in May 2016 to positive reviews.

Phil performs in venues around London and combines working in the studio on new music planned for release in 2017 with his current Music Performance MMus studies at Kingston. Phil guarantees and exciting and uplifting performance not to be missed.
