To celebrate our current production of Hogarth's Progress, a double bill which follows the artist William Hogarth through 18th-century London's debauched underworld, we have partnered with Sipsmith Gin to offer the chance to win an exciting competition prize.
The lucky competition winner will get a pair of tickets to both plays in the Hogarth's Progress double bill, a tour for two of the beautiful Sipsmith distillery in West London, and a bottle of award-winning Sipsmith London Dry Gin.
Sipsmith was founded in 2009 by two childhood friends who had an unwavering belief in things well made - the way they used to be, the way they should be. So they set up London's first traditional copper distillery since 1820. Their mission was simple: to bring London Dry Gin of truly uncompromising quality and character, back to the city where it first earned its name. Every bottle of Sipsmith is hand-crafted in genuinely small batches. Every drop of every batch is lovingly laboured over by hand. No regimented timings, no automatic cuts, just a craftsman's flair and a passion for gin well made.
To enter the competition, simply email [email protected] by Friday 12 October with the subject line 'Hogarth competition' and answer the following question.
What was the name of the famous artwork produced by William Hogarth, which influenced the 18th-century Gin Craze in London and culminated in the Gin Act of 1751?

B: Gin Lane
C: Gin Street
Hogarth's Progress runs here until Sun 21 Oct. Find out more here.
