Legacy Giving

'Our Mum loved theatre of all shapes and sizes and her local, the Rose, was no exception. She was involved in meetings for local residents when Sir Peter Hall first had the idea. We saw some excellent plays there over the years, including the wonderful adaption of Hetty Feather and Dame Judi Dench in A Midsummer's Night Dream. She was also partial to the café's tea and cake! Leaving a legacy gift meant that what our Mum enjoyed about the Rose can continue to be enjoyed by others'

Claire Bendall, daughter of June Bendall who kindly left us a legacy gift, 2017

Art, in all its forms, speaks a universal language and creates shared experiences that enrich all aspects of our lives. What better legacy for audiences of the future than to leave a gift in your Will to ensure that world-class performances can be enjoyed at the Rose for many generations to come.

After you've taken care of the people closest to you, a small percentage of any remaining funds could make a huge difference to our work. Legacy donations provide vital funding to help us achieve our artistic ambitions and support the ongoing development of the Rose.

All legacies to charities are tax free. If you make a gift to the Rose in your Will, the value will be deducted from your estate before inheritance tax is calculated, which means that you can support the theatre and reduce any potential inheritance tax liability at the same time.

We recommend that you consult a solicitor or professional adviser, for specialist advice according to your own individual circumstances.
