Tasha Taylor-Johnson


Tasha is the recipient of the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Composer Scheme and has taken up the role at Curve. She is an emerging composer, lyricist and writer in the UK Musical Theatre scene.

She’s been tipped as ‘One to watch’ and her work ‘different, fresh and original’ by award winning composers Richard Thomas (Jerry Springer the Opera) and Grant Olding (One Man, Two Guvnors).

Tasha’s most recent musical Cult! was selected as a winner of the international Musical Theatre festival From Page to Stage and will receive a showcase at The Other Palace this summer.

Her long time collaboration with Olivier-award winner Drew McOnie and company has produced Good Morning Midnight (Jermyn Street Theatre), A Ballet with Love (The Royal Albert Hall) and Shine (Sadlers Wells).

Other works include: The Journey Song (National Youth Ballet); Claire Voyant (The Other Palace) and Pickled (Central School of Speech and Drama). She is an established solo artist, having toured the UK and played both Latitude and Wireless festivals after releasing her EP, Feed Your Ego.
