Nicolas was born in Paris where he studied Piano at Normale Superior School of Musique of Paris and Electronic Composition with the GRM class at the National Superior Conservatory of Paris. After completing his classical studies Nicolas embarked on an eclectic and prolific career as a composer and musician. He co-founded two innovative electronic pop bands, Grand Popo Football Club and Rouge Rouge. Both groups released two albums and played concerts all over Europe and Asia. He has also composed music for commercials for such clients as Dior, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent.
As well as this, Nicolas also writes experimental music for more contemporary pieces such as video installations and is also the host of radio show The Pudding on Radio Nova, where he plays and discusses music with a variety of invited guests.
He has composed music for more than 50 French and international films. He was awarded a Golden Deer Award for Best Music in the 12th Changchun China Film Festival, for The White Storm (2014).
Other awards include the UCMF Award for Best Composer for Forget Me Not in France (2016)
