Benjamin Cox

Assistant Music Director

Benjamin read music as an Organ Scholar at Cambridge University and now works across the UK as a Musical Director and Composer and Vocal Coach. He has taught and accompanied singing students at LAMDA, The Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Oxford School of Drama, Birmingham School of Acting, and Millennium School of Performing Arts. Benjamin was Musical Supervisor for the off-Broadway transfer of Tooting Arts Club's production of Sweeney Todd, for which he gained a Drama Desk nomination for Best Orchestration. Last year Benjamin was Genesis Sixteen’s Conducting Scholar, studying under Harry Christophers and Eamonn Dougan, and he now works with many choirs across London.

Theatre credits include: Les Miserables, Showboat and Broken Wings (West End), Cosi Fan Tutte, Don Giovanni, The Marriage of Figaro, Tosca, La Bohéme, Madame Butterfly, The Barber of Seville, The Pirates of Penzance, Suor Angelica, Pagliacci with Heritage Opera, Assassins (Crescent Theatre Birmingham), and Fabulous Creatures, a cabaret-musical he composed for the Edinburgh Festival.
