This new adaptation of Heart of Darkness is set against the backdrop of the War on Terror. A troubled young woman journeys upriver in a desolate war zone to find the infamous Kurtz. The further she gets from civilization, the harder it is to distinguish between nightmare and reality, past and present, righteousness and evil.
Joseph Conrad’s searing indictment of colonialism is presented by students of Rose Young Company, adapted by Rose Theatre’s Ciaran McConville.
Venue: Rose Gallery.
