Thames Youth Orchestra presents Scheherazade

The incredibly talented Thames Youth Orchestra (TYO) will be joined by acclaimed artist, James Mayhew, bringing Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade to life with live storytelling, narration and illustration. 

Join the ensemble on a journey through the Arabian nights, with stories of royalty, magic and sailors, in an event that promises to be full of excitement. 

The Thames Youth Orchestra (TYO) is made up of 70 students from across South West London who focus on performing challenging 20th century repertoire. The orchestra has performed at Cadogan Hall, The Barbican Centre and on the BBC. The younger training orchestra, Thames Youth Sinfonia, will also showcase some accompanying pieces.
